SEPTEMBER 30, 2021
Meet Chloe

Nicole Joy-Fraser is an award-winning Performing Artist of Mixed Cree, Beaver, Métis and European descent who has been storytelling for the stage and screen for over 20 years.  Her professional engagements have taken her across Turtle Island and beyond with her most recent being cast in the 2021 acting company at the Stratford Festival.  As a proud Bear clan member and bundle carrier, supporting each other through healing and the arts continues to be a passion of hers and she is grateful to be sharing and promoting Indigenous ways of knowing throughout the Niagara region where she resides.  Nicole is looking forward to collaborating with Carousel players to develop an original play for you audiences after enjoying previous roles in their productions of The Incredible Adventures of Mary Jane Mosquito, This Will Be Excellent, and Peg and the Yeti.

As Carousel Players’ Associate Artist Nicole is developing a new project for primary students with us this season, and for the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, Nicole shared some beautiful words and songs on the banks of Twelve Mile Creek.
