The Carousel Players Community Celebrations are a time for families, and particularly children, re-engage with their community in a safe and comfortable way. The goal is to safely bring families together to experience live arts activities created especially for the COVID times we are living in.
The Celebrations begin with the easily distanced event of a scavenger hunt before progressing to more interactive activities through the winter and spring. The Carousel Players Community Celebrations project is made up of five events throughout the 2020-2021 Season.
At Carousel Players, we have served our community primarily in schools and theatres since our inception, but it has always been important to us to build meaningful connections with our friends and neighbours in all corners of Niagara.
Whether we are inviting community members to our annual Community Picnic, the Carousel Kids Costume Ball or participating in various festivals around the region, engaging with families is at the core of what we do, year round.
In recent years, we’ve curated new ways to engage. Our interactive Dragon on the Hill workshop has mesmerized children around Niagara, and we’ve had the privilege of participating in Culture Days, a nation-wide celebration of the arts, since 2015.
We’re always looking for new ways to connect with our audiences and larger community. If you are interested in joining us in the community as a volunteer, or are coordinating an event and would like to discuss working together please contact
Carousel Players staff, artists and volunteers look forward to meeting you at community events in the Niagara Region!
Our activities in the community include, but are not limited to, live performances, crafts, activities, interactive games as well as giveaways for the whole family!
We are more than happy to accommodate requests specific to your event and can tailor our offerings accordingly.
