Sensory-Based, Relaxed Performance

Flying Hearts is a dance/theatre performance conceived especially for children 2 years and up of all abilities. Flying Hearts takes children on a journey through the elements of earth, water, air, and light using dance, live music, and rich lighting. A Relaxed Performance experience with live music and gentle audience interactions, Flying Hearts is Sensory Friendly and Autism Friendly and welcomes children of all abilities and diverse needs.

Flying Hearts is also especially inclusive for children with ASD, and Developmental Disabilities, with live music and gentle interactions with the artists. Flying Hearts travels with “Sensory Stations” that can be set up in the lobby or behind the audience area for children to explore before and after the show. The performance also comes with a Social Story and teacher resources to assist in preparation and continued exploration in the classroom.

Carousel Players gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Niagara Community Foundation, which is a public foundation serving the people of Niagara. The Foundation builds permanently endowed charitable funds for the changing need and opportunities of the community and provides grants to eligible charitable organizations in culture, health, education, environment, recreation and social service sectors.
