Carousel Players’ Summer Theatre School attracts enthusiastic students each summer from ages 5 to 14 years. Students experience many aspects of the performing arts during the sessions offered.

All Summer Theatre School classes are led by professionals from the Niagara theatre community, and include a special presentation for family members on the final afternoon.

Summer Theatre school takes place at The Robby, the rear building at 85 Church Street. There is parking and drop off access from Raymond St.

We take a lunchtime trip to the park every day as well, weather permitting.

Camps run from 9am to 4pm each day.

Extended care is available starting at 8:30 in the morning and until 4:30 in the afternoon. There is no extra cost for extended care.

The camp is a nut-free environment and there is always at least one adult certified in first aid on site at all times.

The building is not guareenteed to be nut free, as there is a community kitchen in the basement. If allergies, nuts or otherwise, are a concern let us know and we will do our best to make arrangements to create a safe environment.

The age groups are arranged so that the children are at similar stages of social development. We don’t want anyone to feel too old or too young – they’re there to learn and have fun.

That said, if your child’s birthday is in the early fall accomodations can be made.

No, Carousel Players does not provide snacks or lunches.

Please pack your child a nut-free lunch and snacks as needed. There is a fridge at camp to keep food chilled.

At the Summer Theatre School, creating safe spaces for our employees, campers, and families is a priority. We implement a general health and safety plan that includes emergency exits, a fire safety plan, what to do in case of an accident, and how to respect allergies in our facility. We also have at least one staff member trained in first aid on site at all times.

Carousel Players’ Summer Theatre School will soon be in session, and we are excited to share many creative opportunities in drama for children in Niagara! The talented arts educators leading the camps are theatre professionals who have carefully crafted the sessions.

Each camp program will guide participants through games, activities and experiences that teach them individual skills, but also give them the chance to make new friends and collaborate with an ensemble to create a final performance. Our goal is to foster children’s love of creativity in a safe and supportive environment, with expert artistic leadership.

Carousel Players invites you and your children to engage with the arts through our long-running summer theatre program this year. See you on stage!
