Water Wonders (Fall 2019)

3 roles: 2 male, 1 female

Richard is afraid for the loss of his beloved woods to a new water bottling company run by Pete Spark. He tries to convince his sister Stacey and friend Tyler to help him change the mind of the Mayor, Tyler’s grandmother. Can Richard convince them to save the woods?

Lig & Bittle (Spring 2020)

2 roles: 1 male, 1 female

Lig is very tall, and Bittle is very small. They both wish they could find someplace where everything is just the right size for each of them, where no one will notice that they are different. Can Lig and Bittle overcome the Muckety Muck and the Ooga Monster to find the place where they both fit in?

New Play Development Workshops (throughout season)

Carousel Players holds General Auditions once a year, typically in June/July, in Toronto and St Catharines. Auditions are by appointment only. Only successful applicants will be contacted to schedule an audition time.

Actors are asked to prepare 1 Canadian monologue of their choice, no longer than two minutes in length. In addition actors are welcome to share a special skill or interest: be it singing, dancing, a musical instrument, puppetry, poetry, etc.

Actors are invited to submit a letter of interest, a headshot, and a resume that include a current phone number and email address to Digital submissions must be in PDF format.

Auditions for The Incredible Adventures of Mary Jane Mosquito by Tomson Highway

June 25, 2019 – Toronto ON

Carousel Players will be remounting its production of The Incredible Adventures of Mary Jane Mosquito – a musical cabaret for children – in the fall of 2019 and spring of 2020 for out-of-province and in-province overnight touring.

We will be auditioning female performers of Indigenous heritage with strong singing voices.
