Theatre Adventure Camp with Kristen Smyth

In this camp, we will create worlds where anything is possible! Each day, campers will enter a new world where they will read stories and participate in drama activities that will allow them to further explore that world. Each day will feature a fun craft that will be used as a part of the set for the week end performance! Emphasis will be placed on working as an ensemble, building confidence, and exploring creativity. Adventures await!

Comedy Improv and Expressionism with Teresa Ricciuti

During this fun-filled experience, young actors will have the chance to play characters, use their voice, body language and expressions to convey some of the funniest idioms of the English language. Students will build their acting skills through dramatic exercises and creative movement by enjoying theatre warms ups and games, acting basics, improvisation, and teamwork, while focusing on their strengths and bringing out their inner creativity!  We will work collaboratively to create a comical performance for family and friends.

Triple Threat Troupers with Tenja Hagenberg

If you love to sing, dance and ‘make believe’ this is the camp for you.  Triple Threat Troupers will explore the necessary skills of Musical Theatre; singing, dancing, acting and performance.  We’ll be diving into drama games, working improv skills, various dance styles, ensemble/duet/solo singing and combining all those skills to create a final performance showcasing today’s top Musical Theatre Showstoppers!

Creation for Kids! with Colin Anthes

An introduction to original theatre creation for young people, this course will focus on creativity, teamwork, playfulness, and collaboration.  Over the course of the week, students will learn how to turn fun games and exercises into productive ways of working together creatively. At the end of the week, there will be a performance showing off some of their original ideas!

The Art of Mask and Puppetry with Clelia Scala

This camp offers hands-on craft work in building puppets and masks, with guidance towards using both forms in performance. Participants will learn various performance techniques and exercises to bring their creations to life. Each camper will engage their imagination in writing short plays for their puppets. Skills in concentration, physical control and expression, vocal strength and articulation, as well as group and individual dramatic creativity will be explored. This camp features a performance on the last day.

Shaw Acting Camp with Monica Dufault

Kids will have a ‘Magical’ time in this summer adventure for advanced dramatic arts students. The camp will challenge participants to strengthen their acting skills and create their own original play. Students will attend a performance of The Magician’s Nephew at the Shaw Festival. Included on this special adventure to the Shaw Festival will be a backstage tour and acting workshops led by professional artists.
